The Frustration Cure
by Jackie Woods
Recently I have noticed how many people pepper their conversations with references to “the Divine.” I believe that each one of those exclamations really denotes an overlooked feeling…like frustration, for example. Good–God, good–heavens, good–Lord plus a bunch of offshoots like Lordy–be and good–God–above become feeling cover ups. These don’t offend me, but it makes me wonder if on some level we realize that we need help with our feelings.
The higher help is always there. However, words are not much help when it comes to convincing your emotional self to feel better. Thankfully, there is a word replacement. It is the energy of the Creator’s love. All you need to do is consciously ask for it and breathe your heart’s love into the frustration. This energy replacement therapy is quick, inexpensive, and provides benefits.
So the next time you hear yourself exclaiming about God, the good Lord, or heaven, breathe deeply and ask for a love-quality replacement. It will only take a few seconds and the reward is a frustration cure.
Hurricane Helene was not nice to my property or anyone else’s in this part of North Carolina. The whole area resonated with the frustration of being plotted against by the elements. And I got caught up in it. Instead of paying attention to the intensity of my feelings, I plowed ahead to fix the damage. But carrying frustration around is tiring. So after a week of wracking my brain to figure out how to fix the mess left behind, I was exhausted.
Finally, I realized that the heavy feelings I was carrying around were the cause of my tiredness. Even though the love cure for frustrations had worked for me millions of times before, I got lost in the intensity of this situation. Instead of a mental solution, what was needed was a frustration cure so my heart could take charge. Obviously, others put their hearts in charge because our area drew in many helpers from other states.
So the moral of this story is to recognize quickly when frustration is being attended to by your mind instead of your heart’s love. Breathe! And then resonate with others in that love. There may still be things that need attention, but they will be attended with love rather than frustration. Your physical body will be grateful as well as those around you.
